CAJONOS COLLECTION

Our most intricate line. Cajonos is a beautiful place in Oaxaca where Zapotec women create the most amazing silk dresses. They grow the silk worms and make the thread to then weave it on a waist loom.

The hand-made silk threads  are naturally dyed with local pigments such as cochineal, indigo and others from moss and bark.

Ishi sources these amazing threads that are then embroidered onto our leather jewelry, along with silver, brass and stone beads.
